County Kerry is beautiful and the Dingle Peninsula stretches outwards the Atlantic with views that are stunning. I stayed near Ballyferriter while on a sabbatical in 2012. I have roots, perhaps near Tralee in the county, as I descend from Owen Connor and Catherine Hannafin who removed with their family in the 1840s to London, England.
I was looking for family but also studying Celtic mission and spirituality. There is a centre in the town of Dingle that attracts students internationally to study Celtic culture, language, dance, history and music.
I would have loved to have explored further in this area and will return when I am able.
