My ancestor Elizabeth Pennock married Thomas Gatenby at Glaisdale in the North Riding of Yorkshire, in 1799. Thomas died a few years later and Elizabeth worked the farm.

The home of my ancestor - Rake House at Glasidale, North Riding of Yorkshire. Elizabeth Pennock was born 1780 and died after 1841.

For several generations, my ancestors the Pennock family lived at Limber Hill, between Glaisdale and Egton, North Riding of Yorkshire. These derelict building may date to the 1600’s.
