In his MA thesis, Amir Ghahary, quoted in SACRED MEDIA: Immersive Architecture & the Aesthetics of Technosacred Space, says that "when it comes to the human endeavor of grappling with the Sacred, art has always been an indispensable vehicle for the experience and expression of the Numinous."

He goes on to say that "In recent times, electronic and digital media have grown to constitute an emerging technological palette with which traditional principles of art may be reinvigorated through a contemporary effort towards technosacred art."

Art and architectue are part of our stewardly responsibility as human beings on the planet, and a task that Christians should take up joyfully and creatively. It is an act of worship to immerse ourselves in what will draw us to God, bless others, and give Him glory.

Though the Church is the People of God, there is such a thing as excellent church building architecture that, like any icon, painting, hymn or poem may beautifully point beyond itself to the Saviour.
