What if denominations were clusters of churches bent on being part of a missional movement, part of a new mission-shaped atmosphere and ethos. To 'get there from here' will involve changes in attitude with regard to various aspect of what has been seen as ‘normal’ in the life of a family of churches. All aspects of shared life and ministry must be involved, including how support of the denomination cab encourage, facilitate and resource each local church and every regional associations.
Denominational leaders' role are not necessarily that of having and providing all the needed resources, doling them out as asked. Rather, as more each leader of the family of churches should be a kind of 'router' as opposed to the main-frame.
