Being. There.

Just to be present feels like we’re not accomplishing anything at all. Think of a Funeral Home visitation with the bereaved who've lost a loved one who's life too you've known and shared.

Can’t fix it, can’t solve the problem, can’t help the person over or around - or back, or through, or from it.

Wasted time? No.

Indeed it may be the best we can do and be - our choosing to be present to others, to our spouse, to ourselves, to the beauty - and decay, of Creation around us - present to God, as God is present to us.
