My father's mother, Alice Annie Green, was from the North Riding of Yorkshire, England. Many of her relatives were from the Moors areas of Bransdale and Farndale, near market-towns like Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside. Smaller hamlets like Fadmoor and Gillamoor were also well-known haunts of the Green family, and others inter-related, in days gone by.

Many 'Green' relatives are buried in the beautiful old graveyard, by St. Aidan's Church (to be seen near the end of the video).
