In the New Testament Book of Ephesians 2: 1 to 10, St. Paul writes in his letter to the church at Ephesus about the variegated grace of God that is given to us, the grace hymnwriter John Newston called, 'Amazing.'

I thought of that this day, looking up from my breakfast eggs and coffee, and seeing this vision of God's glory, of splendour just outside our back door. It gave me a sense of God - and of good and not evil, of blessing and not a lurking doom.
