We Come to Worship and Adore

No one is born there. Everyone must choose to go there, the religious and the non-religious. Whether we know ourselves to be 'chosen' or not, each one of us may know that we are invited, called to the party, called to the banquet, called to the Life that Jesus called 'abundant.'
This was not his church; he was visiting in Rome as was I. Clearly, his order, his church or cloister or monastery was elsewhere.
But he was a guest, like me, filled with wonder and a desire to worship, observing both the pagan sites of ancient Rome, of a day and wonders and power now gone, and seeing too and remembering the evidences of a faith that though not born there, flourished there, and does still.
