We were on our way to Iona, the Holy Island. But we flew into Glasgow, the home city of my wife's paternal line - Glasgow in Lanark County, Scotland.

We visited several sites before moving on, including the wonderfully inspiring Glasgow Cathedral, also called the High Kirk of Glasgow. Other names are: St Kentigern’s and St Mungo’s Cathedral.

The cathedral, a congregation of the Church of Scotland, is located north of High Street and east of Cathedral Street, where Glasgow's patron saint, St. Mungo, built his church. His tomb is in the lower crypt.
