A famous sermon was entitled, 'When Life Caves In, What Then?'

We resonate with the fact that our life, and the world that is within and the world that is without, can sometimes be overwhelming in the trouble, grief, perplexity, uncertainty and pain it brings. We can't alway manage to pull things off or pull them together; so we self-medicate if we can or escape in some other form or way. There are seasons in our lives, regions of the heart, times of warmth, blessing, felicity and fruitfulness and times of chilly, wet walls of some deep labrynthian jail.

It is our Lord Jesus alone who can bring hope in the darkness and faith in the most cold of days.
