There's always an open invitation from God to come Home to God. The coming is described in various ways in Scripture. There is both the welcome and the possibility of such a return made possible as only God can make and do. It cost a whole lot - says the Story of Christmas, the Life of Jesus: His death and burial.

The invitation is always open and gracious to all. Some have found it compelling; some have stopped their ears to it, paying attention to lesser things - to pursuits and pleasures that do not last.

Within the human hearts is an echo-response to God's call - a homing device of the deep, inner spirit that God's Spirit takes and through His causing of deep resonation within, draws us inexorably to God's Self.
