Jesus said the life we could receive, the life he had come to bring to us, was eternal, full and abundant. In fact, Jesus once said - "The testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life."

When Christian writer Frederick Buechner was recognized for his work and interviewed by his peers at the Washington Cathedral, Buechner noted that he wouldn't mind having inscribed on his tombstone the following words he had written previously in his Pulitzer Prize nominated novel, Godric:: What's lost is nothing to what's found, and all the death that ever was set next to life would scarcely fill a cup.
