'God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have life everlasting.' (John 3:16)

It's interesting to me that 'world' here is from the Greek 'cosmos' - which I think therefore includes people for sure, but also 'places' and 'things.' God in love was - and is, through Christ, reclaiming and re-creating it all.

'Eternal Life' too is something that begins in the now and continues - well, forever. It is the 'life of the ages' and we can begin to receive it now, and have more daily - as sheer gift, through committing our lives, through Christ and by His Spirit, to God.

Through the rhythms of worship and prayer we can begin to breathe in the air, the life, the blessing and the fulness of the Life to come.
