Can one local church possibly reach, reflect and respond to all the different kinds of people around it?

There's a mixture of yuppies (remember that term?), older working-class folk, family units ('traditional' and 'non-traditional') of all sorts and descriptions). There are many varying subcultural groupings (you name it) with people from other lands and ethnicities, the diaspora of the world now at our doorstep, the gay population, hockey moms, upper-class snobs . . . I mean, do we really have any idea what it is we're trying to do?!

With 'mission work' something they support waaayyyy overseas, many churches only reaching out to folk who are just like them.

That's not missional.
