We take it for granted, but really, there's no guarantee that we will get up on any given morning. Each day, every morning's dawning, is sheer gift — a resurrection.

We have laid down our heads in trust that we will actually see the light of a new day. No guarantees. We expect to awaken. Not everyone does.

But we have this morning - this day, to experience the boon and bounty of providence, provision and grace. We stir and then we stand, if age and health permits.

It will not always be so. But then, there’s the promise of a greater Resurrection when once again we shall stir and stand as we enter the wonder of God’s New Day.
